About Me
I was born and raised in Western Washington.  The youngest child of a farming and logging family, I graduated as valedictorian of my high school class.

With an eye towards law school, I enrolled at a private liberal arts school in Tacoma, Washington.  Not satisfied with coursework, I interned for four years with the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General's Office.  As an analyst I worked closely with businesses, consumers, investigators, and attorneys to resolve marketplace disputes.  During my internship, I also completed a report on the AG's Hight Tech Unit, which fights cyber crime.

I have travelled and worked in remote parts of Alaska, mostly in the summer months.  I have also had the pleasure to travel and study in Europe, and hold a certificate in German language from Eurocentres (Cologne, Germany).

After four years of studying, I earned my Bachelors in Political Science (cum laude), and am now earning my Masters in Public Administration in Seattle.

Off the job, and away from work, I enjoy city living but also travel frequently around the state.  In my spare time I contribute to online blogs and other forums, and pursue my interest in new media development.
